It is very important to make periodic cleaning of the Reverse Osmosis Systems. Impurities form layers that affect pure water flow rate and conductivity on the membrane surfaces negatively as time progresses.

Permanent physical and chemical damage may occur and shorten the life of the membranes, if these depositions are not removed from the membranes.
*Decrease in System Flow
*Increase in product water conductivity and other parameters
*Increase in Differential Pressure of System

are signs of need for cleaning.

For the Diagnosis of Membrane Problem:
• Raw water and Reverse Osmosis wastewater analyzes are checked, total organic carbon is investigated
• SDI value of Reverse Osmosis feed water is measured after cartridge filter
• The color and odor of the cartridge filter is checked
• The lid of first membrane housing is opened and the eye and odor control are performed.
• Business Reverse Osmosis Daily notes are reviewed.
As a result of this examination, a diagnosis of the problem is made and it is decided how to carry out a chemical wash.

CHEMICAL WASHING PROCESS ON MEMBRANES
Aqueous mixtures containing special chemicals are used for washing reverse osmosis membranes

The material of the osmosis membrane, which is occluded as a result of  the accumulation of certain substances on it, is a synthetic material responds differently to each chemical. Therefore, if the chemical type or chemical application method is wrong, it may cause permanent deterioration in the membranes after washing.

For this reason, chemical washing of osmosis membranes should be carried out under supervision of authorized experts.
